Client Overview: A Power Utility client came to us to resolve key issues related to the Smart billing System. It is an electric utility that generates, transmits, distributes and sells electric energy. They have smartmeters which are set up at the end locations of users. Our Client recognized the need for Web Development and API Development with Cloud Capabilities as a vital solution for strengthening their industry reputation.
Problem Statement: The Client wanted to set up an automated system which would do all the operations related to smart meters rather than doing it manually, like the rest of meters, bill generation, whether the system is working or not etc., and they also wanted to keep track and monitor all the operations which have been performed through automation. They can filter the data on the basis of keywords and cities.
Solution: Based on client requirements, Our Full Stack experts used their IT experience and provided an interface between smart meters and their billing system. This integration system performs the transformation logic on the meter reading and any data from smart meters, like reset or meter installation, to generate the data in a suitable format for the billing system. Creating SOAP web services to make the interaction possible between two systems and deployment is done on the AWS Cloud Development.
Created a dashboard to display the health of all the smart meter-related data. Operation and statistics of success and failure rate of these operations where we are using the Restful services for CRUD operations and using Angular 5 for creating the UI components. All the UI services and backend services for the dashboard are deployed on the AWS cloud.
Client Benefits: The structured architecture to maintain all the operations related to smart meters where they can do meter installation, reset, wanted to generate the bill, wanted to stop meters for users etc. we have created a rich user interface which can help them to monitor the health of services. We have implemented the access level modules as well, which helps to restrict the access of particular users. They can export all the information and manage access to users who want to update, delete orcreate roles for the users.
We have implemented such kind capabilities if they want to filter data with respect to API or related cities etc.
