Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

1. Upwork Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for leveraging Upwork to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Stay updated on Upwork platform trends, algorithms, and best practices to maximize visibility and success.

2. Client Acquisition:

  • Identify and target potential clients on Upwork through proactive outreach and networking.
  • Create compelling proposals, tailored to client needs, showcasing the company's strengths and capabilities.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and projects.

3. Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients on Upwork, understanding their business needs and providing solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project onboarding and delivery.

4. Contract Closure:

  • Close deals by presenting competitive proposals and demonstrating the value of our services.

5. Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Upwork projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, successes, and areas for improvement.

6. Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Having 1+ years of experience in business development, with a focus on Upwork.
  • Strong understanding of Upwork's platform, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with project management and client relationship management tools.
