About the Company

We are a U.S.-based B2B manufacturing company seeking an experienced NetSuite CRM Specialist to optimize and structure our existing NetSuite environment into a practical, sales-team-friendly CRM. Our current system has foundational data and structures in place but requires refinement to support effective sales pipeline management, tracking, and reporting.


Project Objective

To transform the existing NetSuite CRM into a streamlined, user-friendly system that enables efficient sales tracking, customer engagement, forecasting, KPI reporting, and overall usability for both sales teams and leadership.


Key Responsibilities

1. CRM Audit & Assessment

  • Review current NetSuite CRM configuration, data structure, dashboards, and workflows
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities

2. CRM Organization & Configuration

  • Optimize leads, prospects, customers, and opportunities
  • Improve sales stages and pipeline structure
  • Configure activity tracking (calls, meetings, demos, follow-ups)
  • Set up lead source and attribution tracking
  • Customize fields, forms, lists, and workflows
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and visibility

3. Pipeline & Opportunity Management

  • Enhance opportunity tracking (stage, value, likelihood, timelines)
  • Implement forecasting and deal tracking mechanisms
  • Track proposal/quote activity and lost reasons

4. Dashboards & KPI Reporting

  • Build dashboards and reports for sales teams and leadership
  • Track key metrics such as:
    • Sales activities (calls, meetings, demos)
    • Pipeline value by stage
    • Forecasted sales
    • Conversion rates and win/loss ratios
    • Lead source performance
    • Stalled opportunities and sales trends

5. SOPs & Documentation

  • Develop clear and simple internal documentation
  • Define processes for CRM usage, activity logging, and data management

6. Training & Handoff

  • Conduct training sessions for internal teams
  • Provide guidance for long-term CRM adoption and usability

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience with NetSuite CRM implementation and optimization
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales workflows and pipeline management
  • Expertise in dashboards, saved searches, reports, and workflows in NetSuite
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical CRM solutions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience creating SOPs and training materials

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with B2B manufacturing or technical sales environments
  • Knowledge of sales forecasting and KPI reporting
  • Experience improving CRM adoption in small/mid-sized teams
  • Experience integrating NetSuite with other tools
  • NetSuite certifications (preferred but not mandatory)

Engagement Details

  • Initial phase: Audit & discovery
  • Followed by: Configuration, reporting, SOP creation, and training
  • Potential for ongoing support and future optimization projects
