Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Epic Healthy Planet Analyst with deep expertise in the Epic Healthy Planet application. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Epic design, build, testing, workflow optimization, and production support within healthcare environments.

This role requires a highly collaborative analyst capable of partnering with operational and clinical stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient Epic Healthy Planet solutions while ensuring adherence to Epic standards and organizational best practices.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of Epic application experience
  • Active and current certification in Epic Healthy Planet
  • Must maintain:
    • Current NVT (New Version Training)
    • Current Epic CEE (Continued Epic Education)
    • All required certifications, proficiencies, and badges
  • Strong experience with:
    • Epic Healthy Planet design, build, configuration, and testing
    • Workflow analysis and optimization
    • Production support and issue resolution
    • System upgrades and enhancement initiatives

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide Epic application design, configuration, build, testing, and implementation expertise for Epic Healthy Planet
  • Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to design and optimize workflows
  • Lead medium to large-scale Epic upgrade initiatives and enhancement projects
  • Participate in design, validation, and workflow review sessions
  • Configure and maintain Epic applications based on business and operational requirements
  • Develop, maintain, and update system documentation, build specifications, and change control records
  • Perform daily production monitoring and issue resolution
  • Participate in all phases of the testing lifecycle including:
    • Unit testing
    • Integrated testing
    • System testing
  • Support application incidents through help desk and on-call support processes
  • Analyze workflows, data collection processes, reporting requirements, and technical issues related to Epic applications
  • Collaborate with trainers to create and maintain training materials and curriculum
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications
  • Review and test Epic releases, enhancements, and requested system changes
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards for system configuration and change management
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, customers, and end-user communities
  • Facilitate communication from requirements gathering through final implementation
  • Troubleshoot and escalate complex application issues as needed

Desired Skills

  • Prior healthcare consulting experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and team collaboration skills
  • Experience mentoring junior analysts or onboarding new team members
  • Experience working with complex Healthy Planet workflows
  • Ability to guide clients on Epic best practices and workflow optimization
  • Additional Epic certifications or experience with other Epic modules preferred
